Ishra for Mac

It lives in the notch.

The space above your screen was already empty. Now it keeps your prayer times, and opens on its own when one arrives.

macOS 14 and later. Works on Macs without a notch too.

Psst, it's interactive. Hover the notch.

Times shown are a sample day. The real app calculates them for your city, offline.

What it does

Your schedule, a glance away.

No window to open, no app to switch to. It waits in the notch and gets out of the way.

Hover to open

A black card grows out of the notch: the current prayer, the countdown to the next one, and the breathing Orb.

Today at a glance

The All prayers tab lays out the whole day as one row, with the current prayer marked in gold.

It opens by itself

When a prayer comes in, the notch opens with the Orb and a draining gold bar, chimes if you like, then closes.

Accurate, offline times

The same prayer engine as Ishra on Android, calculated on your Mac from your city. No network needed.

Menu bar too

A moon in the menu bar opens the full schedule and settings, for when your hands are already up there.

No notch? Still works

On an iMac or an external display it uses a virtual notch in the middle of the menu bar, and behaves the same.

A reminder, nothing more.

Ishra for Mac never claims to know whether you prayed. It is a schedule and a nudge, the same framing the Android app holds.

No account, no analytics, no cloud. Prayer times are calculated on your Mac, and nothing about your day leaves it.

Private by design · Works fully offline · Yours to keep
Coming to iPhone and Mac

Keep the notch, keep the prayer.

Ishra for iPhone and Mac are being built together and land as one release. Leave your email and we'll send it over the day it's ready, in shā’ Allāh.

You're on the list, Jazakallahu khairan. One email, the day iPhone and Mac open.

One list for every platform, Android included. No other email, ever.

macOS 14 Sonoma or later Apple silicon and Intel Notch optional
